Shacharis in 770

Shacharis in 770

I.
Flames of youth,
Screaming truth,
Praying in the doorways,
Piling the halls.

Clad in robes and shawls,
And modern-day turbans.
Gloriously crowned,
By the powerful woman.

Broken and beaten,
Many times before,
Victory through miracles,
Stories, galore.

Green glass bottles,
Of culture,
Sparkling brilliantly,
Toward the future.

Warmness,
Effulgent Jew,
Toughness,
Ringing true.

Infinite light,
Pushing through,
Heart contrite,
To be, for You.

II.
Where I want to be,
Where I’m not,
Call it home,
Taste and see.

Droning hum,
Buzzing bees,
Planting seeds,
Blooming fruit trees.

Where this leads,
Across the seas,
Snow vaults free,
Blanketed freeze.

World is one,
We, are none,
We’re almost done,
We are,
The flames of youth.
